On 16th May 2023, Rotary Club of Metro Yangon (RCMY) held its Monthly Programme along with a donation ceremony to support emergency relief efforts in Sittwe and surrounding areas affected by Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State. The contributions will go toward repairing and reconstructing roofs and providing essential aid. Donations will also be made to the Yangon Orthopaedic Hospital (Spine Unit), and to hospitals in Sittwe, Dala, and Seikkyi Kanaungto townships.
As part of the programme, Guest Speaker U Naing Win Aung delivered an insightful talk on the topic “Leading Your Business through Crisis.”
The event was attended by a total of 54 participants, including BOD members and Rotarians from Rotary Club of Central Yangon, Rotary Club of Yangon, and RC Metro Yangon, senior orthopaedic surgeons from the Spine Unit of Yangon Orthopaedic Hospital, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Health Dr. Thet Lwin, esteemed ambassadors, generous donors, renowned singer Daw Tin Tin Myint, and other distinguished guests.
