Rotary Club of Metro Yangon’s Board of Directors attended the National Games 2024 for children with intellectual disabilities, held on the morning of December 22, 2024, at Kyaikkasan Sports Ground in Yangon. Their presence was a gesture of support and encouragement, celebrating the strength, spirit, and determination of the young participants.

As part of a charitable initiative, Rotary Club of Metro Yangon donated 1,500 bottles of purified drinking water for the participating children, distinguished guests, and attendees at the event. Traditional Myanmar breakfast was also served as a gesture of hospitality. Additionally, in support of children with intellectual disabilities, donations were made towards the establishment of a symbolic “Money Tree” fund.

Mr. Toe Wai Win, Service Project Chair of Rotary Club of Metro Yangon, contributed MMK 5 million, and Charter President & Foundation Chair, Daw Poe Phyu, donated MMK 2 million.

Following this, Dr. Myint Thein, Chairperson of Special Olympics Myanmar, presented certificates of appreciation. The event concluded with the awarding of medals, honorary cash prizes, and Cow Cow milk powder gift packs to the outstanding young athletes.
