Rotary Club of Metro Yangon (RCMY) believes that healthcare is not only about supporting people when they become patients. It is equally important to prevent illness, promote awareness, and encourage early detection before disease progresses.

With this commitment, RCMY continues to support initiatives focused on kidney health, hypertension, diabetes awareness, early screening, and disease prevention for the benefit of our communities.

Our purpose is not only to help treat an individual.
It is to help an individual remain healthy, a family remain healthy, and a community become healthier.

Prevention Starts with Awareness
Many people may feel healthy and have no obvious symptoms, while conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney disease may already be developing.

This is why regular health checks and healthy lifestyle choices are so important.
We encourage individuals and families to:
• Check blood pressure regularly.
• Monitor blood sugar and be aware of diabetes risk.
• Undergo kidney function and urine tests when recommended.
• Maintain a healthy diet, healthy body weight, and regular physical activity.
• Seek professional medical advice and follow prescribed treatment when a condition has already been identified.
Kidney health cannot be considered in isolation.
To protect our kidneys, we must also control blood pressure, manage diabetes, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Early awareness can lead to early action.
And early action can help prevent or reduce the impact of disease in the future.
Our Message
Know the Cause.
Prevent the Disease.
Protect the Kidney.
Protect the Life.

We hope that everyone who participates in this initiative will take home at least one new piece of knowledge and one healthy habit—and begin putting that knowledge into action.
Because prevention begins with each of us.
