On August 13, 2024, RCMY successfully hosted a Food Safety Awareness Seminar as part of our ongoing service projects. The seminar took place at the Tea Garden Hall on Eyarwaddy Road, Thaketa Township, and was attended by RCMY Board Members, special guest speaker Dr. Htet Paing Kyaw from the Ministry of Health, and a group of enthusiastic youths.
The main goal of the seminar was to share crucial knowledge on preventing foodborne illnesses and to raise awareness of food safety practices.
President Daw Yi Wine Oo officially opened the seminar with a welcome address, followed by the National Anthem and Rotary International Anthem. She warmly greeted all attendees, expressing the importance of food safety in our daily lives.
The seminar continued with a presentation from Club Learning Facilitator U Win Naing Nyo, who provided an insightful session on Basic Food Safety and Hygiene Standards for restaurants. Dr. Htet Paing Kyaw then expanded on the topic, sharing valuable tips and essential knowledge to help ensure food safety.
To wrap up the event, President Daw Yi Wine Oo presented appreciation certificates and gifts to both U Win Naing Nyo and Dr. Htet Paing Kyaw for their contributions. The day concluded with a memorable group photo to mark the occasion.
