Children with intellectual disabilities may face challenges in learning, but they are also filled with strength, determination, resilience, and unlimited potential.
Their disability does not define who they are. Their dreams, talents, aspirations, and smiles are just as valuable as anyone else’s. Time and again, children who were once underestimated have demonstrated that, when given the right opportunities, they can achieve extraordinary things.
Over the years, the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon (RCMY) has been honored to support initiatives that promote inclusion, confidence, and opportunities for children with intellectual disabilities.

Our Mission Is Opportunity
At RCMY, our mission has never been about sympathy.
It is about creating opportunities.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to:
Receive quality education.
Participate in sports and community activities.
Develop life and vocational skills.
Build confidence and independence.
Live with dignity and equal opportunity.
Become valued members of society.
Creating these opportunities requires more than good intentions. It takes compassionate volunteers, committed partners, generous donors, and an inclusive community that believes in every child’s potential.
Every contribution—whether through volunteering, advocacy, or financial support—helps open doors and transform lives.
At the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon, we remain committed to promoting inclusion and empowering children with intellectual disabilities through education, sports, community participation, and lifelong development.
Together, we can build a society where everyone belongs, everyone is respected, and everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
“We don’t support children with intellectual disabilities because we feel sorry for them. We support them because they deserve the opportunity to let their abilities shine.”
Together, We Create Lasting Impact.
