The Rotary Club of Metro Yangon recently participated in the beneficiary selection process for patients requiring life-saving dialysis treatment under our partnership with a local kidney care center.
This experience was more than simply observing a selection process. It provided our Board and members with a deeper understanding of the immense physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by kidney patients and their families.
As part of our long-term commitment to community health, the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon is implementing the National Kidney Health Initiative Myanmar (NKHI-M) as our Signature Project, with a strong focus on sustainable impact through:
Every patient we met reminded us that the fight against kidney disease begins long before dialysis. Their stories strengthen our commitment to building a future where prevention, early intervention, and accessible healthcare become the foundation of healthier communities.
Our vision is not only to support those who require dialysis today, but also to help reduce the number of people who will need dialysis tomorrow through education, prevention, and early detection.
Prevention First. Care Always.
Together, we can build healthier communities and create lasting impact.
