In today’s world, children have more educational opportunities and fields of study to explore than ever before.
With so many choices available, an important question for every parent is: Which field is most suitable for my child? Should parents choose a path for their children, or should they help children discover their own interests, strengths, and potential?
Children naturally have a strong sense of curiosity. They may want to hammer nails into a piece of wood, experiment with tools such as knives or saws, or explore how things are built and put together. These are natural expressions of their desire to explore and understand the world around them.
When this curiosity is supported through proper guidance and hands-on experiences, it can help children develop creativity, problem-solving skills, practical thinking, and self-confidence.
Vocational education is not only about preparing children to work directly in a particular field, such as woodworking, plumbing, or electrical work. It also develops practical knowledge and skills that can be applied throughout life.
These include learning how to understand how things work, how to build and create, how to repair and improve, and how to use practical knowledge to solve everyday problems.
When children are introduced to these skills from an early age, they can apply what they have learned in many different situations—even when those skills are not directly related to their future careers.
As part of the Shaping the Future Through Education initiative, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to ID Woodworking School for supporting this program and for working with international schools to introduce and nurture vocational and practical skills among children from an early age.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the parents, teachers, school owners, students, and education-sector partners who help create these valuable learning opportunities for children.
Education does not exist only inside the classroom.
Helping children discover their potential and creating opportunities for them to develop the skills they will need throughout their lives is also an important part of education.
