Monthly Meeting Reflection: Learning Together, Leading Together, Creating Lasting Impact

Biweekly Meeting Minutes
July 20, 2026

At the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon (RCMY), a Monthly Meeting is much more than a scheduled gathering. It is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us through mutual respect, encouragement, trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to service.

Each meeting brings together members from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and work toward a common goal—creating meaningful and sustainable impact within our communities.

During this month’s meeting, members engaged in thoughtful discussions on how to design and implement community service projects that deliver long-term, sustainable outcomes. Through the exchange of practical experiences and proven approaches, we explored how Rotary’s values can be translated into impactful action.

We were honored to learn from experienced Rotary leaders whose insights reinforced one of Rotary’s most important principles—that lasting impact is achieved through collaboration, shared leadership, and continuous learning.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Assistant Governor and Charter President U Kaung Nyein Soe and Club President Sandar Aung Steber for generously sharing their knowledge and practical experiences. Their presentations on the three essential pillars of a successful Rotary club—Membership, Service Projects, and Public Image—provided valuable guidance and inspiration for our members.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Facilitator U Win Naing Nyunt, whose well-structured session helped members gain a clearer understanding of their individual roles and responsibilities within the club, fostering stronger teamwork and more effective collaboration.

One of the most significant highlights of the meeting was the official launch of RCMY’s Signature Project – the Kidney Health Initiative.

More than a community service project, the Kidney Health Initiative represents our long-term commitment to improving public health through kidney disease prevention, early detection, public awareness, and support for individuals requiring dialysis treatment. It embodies Rotary’s vision of creating sustainable solutions that improve lives and reflects this Rotary Year’s theme, “Create Lasting Impact.”

At the Rotary Club of Metro Yangon, we do not meet simply to conduct business. We come together to learn, to inspire one another, to strengthen friendships, and to develop meaningful initiatives that create positive and lasting change for the communities we serve.

As we continue this Rotary year, we remain committed to transforming ideas into action, strengthening partnerships, and building a healthier, more resilient future through service.

“Change is only the beginning. Impact is what endures.”

Together, we learn.
Together, we serve.
Together, We Create Lasting Impact.
