On September 24, Rotary Club of Metro Yangon (RCMY) held its BOD Meeting and Regular Meeting from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Parkroyal Hotel Ballroom, Yangon, in two parts.
The first part was the BOD Meeting, where attending Board of Directors (BOD) members discussed ongoing service projects, the status of membership, the financial situation, and other relevant sectors.
Following this, the second part was the monthly meeting, which continued as scheduled.
The meeting began with an opening speech by President Daw Yee Wyne Oo. Then, guest speaker Dr. Zaw Lin (Founder & CEO of Youth International College) delivered a talk on “Leveraging AI to Boost Efficiency & Growth for Enterprises”. After his insightful presentation, President Daw Yee Wyne Oo presented Dr. Zaw Lin with an Appreciation Certificate.
Subsequently, updates were provided by the respective Chair Members on membership status, service projects, financial updates, and preparations for the fundraising event planned for October.
The meeting also saw the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for one of RCMY’s Economic & Community Development projects—the Mushroom Cultivation Project. The agreement was signed by Project Chair Daw Soe Moe Thu and Managing Director Daw Hlaing Hlaing Nyein from Brani Business Group.
Following this, new members and flood relief donors were presented with Appreciation Certificates.
The meeting ended with a birthday cake-cutting ceremony for members born in August and September, and a group photo was taken to mark the occasion. President Daw Yee Wyne Oo concluded the meeting with the Rotary bell signaling the end of the session.
