The kidneys are the body’s natural filtration system. They remove waste products from the blood and regulate blood pressure. When kidney function deteriorates, a person’s quality of life can be severely affected.
Chronic kidney disease often shows no early symptoms, and in many cases, it is only detected at an advanced stage. Without regular dialysis treatment, the condition can become life-threatening.
To bring hope to patients facing these challenges, RCMY is actively preparing for the Soft Opening of the “Karunarpala” Dialysis Center, scheduled for this coming March.
As dialysis is a highly delicate and critical medical procedure, nurse aides assigned to the center are receiving both theoretical and practical training at Jivitadana Sangha Hospital. The training is personally conducted by a senior sister with over 20 years of experience in Brunei and Singapore. From RO Water System management to dialyser reprocessing, international-standard procedures are being systematically taught.
Essential equipment, including the center’s life-supporting RO water purification systems, has already arrived, and installation works are progressing efficiently. During this preparation phase, Venerable U Hla Taw, senior nephrologists, and RCMY leaders visited the site to provide guidance and encouragement.
Karunarpala Dialysis Center stands ready to serve, with the mission of helping kidney patients live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
